Without a doubt I am a late bloomer,
thankful that even the trees in my yard
take after me, finally budding with leaves
after all the others have already sprouted.
I'm more at a turtle's pace,
taking time to breathe in the spring air
appreciating the beauty and wonder
that envelopes me like a cozy blanket.
Though it may take longer to reach my destination
in time I'll get there.
When home is where you are
the whole earth is a paradise
to make our own.
So when I come over and say hello
I hope there'll be a spark of recognition in your eyes.
Then we can begin our steps anew
pirouetting around the globe
sowing seeds of LOVE wherever life leads.
