San Francisco
is a city of magic.
Anything I dream of
there are plenty around.
Peacock feathers
on a busker's hat,
a new calendar
and even a hand puppet!
It is also a city of LOVE.
A giant heart at Union Square
and two more inside the art gallery.
No wonder they call this
a sister city of Paris,
cafes at every street corner
people relaxed, enjoying life.
Would love to stay here for a while
there's so much to explore.
Alas, this world still runs on money for now,
so I will be on my way soon
eager to return on Love's currency.

This poem was written on November 15th 2010 on the rooftop patio of the SFMOMA (San Franicsco Museum of Modern Art) while I was recharging my extroverting batteries with some quiet time... which is what I plan to do tonight as well. Thanks for reading along and have the BEST new year ahead!! :D

Gratitude Week 20: My Complete Teacup Collection!
In the spring of 2009 on a visit to Brenda's Black Sheep Farm, we got to use her housemate's beautiful teacup collection. It got me wanting to start a teacup collection of my own, and my sister Victoria and best friend Gloria each gave me one on my birthday that year.
Thinking that was a pretty good start, I was joyously overwhelmed on my wonderful 30th birthday celebration this year, when my sister sent a notice to all my friends to get me a teacup as a present. In an instant I got 6 more amazing teacups!
Later on my co-worker Zion added one more to my collection, and in early December I discovered a store downtown that sold exquisite teacups for an unbelievably good price. I bought 2 as Christmas presents to myself, one for each year since I started collecting.
Happy to have my teacup family grow from 2 to 11 within such a short period of time, I am delighted to welcome member #12 this afternoon, a gift from my good friend Angela and her husband Matt.
This dozen teacups will definitely be enjoyed in the coming years, so let me know if you'd like to have tea together some time and it'll be my treat!! :D And thank you all for making another dream of mine come true so quickly, I really feel like the best loved woman in the world. :)

Magician Love
I'm in love with a magician
who seems most fond of the
disappearing act.
Hiding a piece of himself
here and there,
he is everywhere and nowhere
at once.
When our game began anew again
I thought he could be contained within one,
but now I know that's not the case
because Love is everything.
So now I'm breaking down
old concepts and ideas
making room for the new,
where Love can bloom beautifully,
Life can flourish freely
and Light can illuminate the path ahead
with the wisdom of One Love.

Week 19: The Amazing Healing Abilities of Life
Two weekends ago I was in pain and homebound because of a recurring cyst problem. Over several days it had swelled to the size of a hard-boiled egg and eventually broke open. My family doctor sent me to the emergency room to get it cleaned up, and the only prescription was to soak in a salt water bath 3-4 times a day until the wound heals. Within 1-2 days I was back to my usual self and moving around with minimal pain. How miraculous and quickly my wound healed!
More and more I feel like we are all some version of a walking miracle. From people who have survived cancer, horrific accidents or suicide attempts, to friends who made it through difficult pregnancies, debilitating health issues or even a simple cold or flu, we are all winners by the fact that life and breath is still in us today. So live like the champion you are and continue being and creating miracles all around you, making our world more of a wonderland each day.
